Polewear for everyone who (doesn't) pole dance
To practice pole dancing, you need direct body contact with the pole to have the necessary support. This places certain demands on the sportswear: it should be light, but not revealing, supportive and not slipping.
Pole dancing requires sportswear that you can't just find in a normal sports shop. Unfortunately! But polewear has so much more to offer than just being polewear. The skimpy covering paired with a finish that can withstand extreme movements means the clothing can be worn both for sport and in your free time. Where, you ask? Here is a small selection:
- In the gym as a sports bra: The tops offer enough support for all movements, both during yoga and weight lifting.
- At the party as an unusual crop top: They also look great combined under an over-sized sweater or blazer.
- On the beach as a beach volleyball outfit: The crotch of the bottom is sewn wider than the classic bikini, so that even with big movements everything stays where it should.
- And, and, and...: There are no limits to the possibilities. What do you want to use your new polewear for?
Why sui.?
sui. polewear is a Swiss company based in Zurich. From there, your order is lovingly packaged and shipped individually. The company is a passion project of the founder and the products are based on her own experiences that she was able to gain on her way as a pole dancer.
We make every effort to produce our clothing as fairly and sustainably as possible. Where we have to make compromises, we communicate transparently. Read more about this under Sustainability & Fairness .
The founder
"Many words describe what pole dancing has given me over the last few years. Through the sport, I have developed from being a head person to being a gut person. It has given me an awareness of my own body that I have never had before.
Pole dancing forced me to look at myself in the mirror without a filter and to no longer see the fat pads, dimples and imperfections, but what my body can do: It can carry me, lift me, bend. I can rely on my body. And therefore also on my abilities.
This is the feeling I want to convey with my pole dance sportswear.”

The history of sui. polewear
"Look, I have an idea. And I have to say it out loud, with no guarantee that you'll ever hear about it again."
Those were the first words I said to my dear friend Mely over dinner at the beginning of 2022. And then I started to talk. About my problem of not being able to find satisfactory polewear on the Swiss online market, about my more or less self-sewn workout clothes and the sketches I drew on a night off. And about my idea of creating my own label.
And then everything happened very quickly. Google helped me with the simplest questions like "How do I set up a GmbH?" and "What is a brand database?" and a few books later I also had an idea of how clothing is made. With many helping hands I had the first prototypes in front of me almost exactly a year later.
"Huh?! A year ago you were telling me about your (quote) 'brain fart' and now you're already planning the launch of the first collection!"
Yes, it can happen that quickly. A lot has happened in sui's first year. And if you had told me in my first trial lesson at Mandy's pole studio (by the way, do you already know the charming Mandy from Mandy Candy's Pole Dance Studio ?) that I would soon have my own polewear label, I would have given you the finger, pulled my sports pants up a little more over my thighs and left the studio shaking my head with my feet covered in bruises.
I never even thought about starting my own company. Until I did it.
